![]() The relative games made around the same time would be Final Fantasy VII & Resident Evil 2, for which are both better games than this. Many times this game is described as a mix between Final Fantasy & Resident Evil. There are many useless weapons who's use is really only to strip the bonus points or attributes off to create your ultimate weapon in the EX-Round. After some time in an area, battles come much less frequently which also can be a pain if one is trying to level up. This makes exploring areas back and forth a bit of a chore at times. Aya's general movement is quite sluggish, I imagine to keep on par with not making it extremely easy to dodge in battle. The game is rather short though, which could be seen as a good thing. As mentioned there are many fantastic FMVs. The game is fairly linear, but there are quite a few optional areas to explore, especially in the "EX-Game" unlocked after you beat the game once. The system of upgrading your wea pons and armor using Bonus Points, tools, stat boosters and trading cards is very fun and encompassing. The game has a very unique battle system where you have full control over Aya in an enclosed area, allowing you to dodge and get in close for your shot. What if they evolved independently and essentially had a mind of their own? Mitochondria are the organelles in our cells that give us energy and are responsible for cell growth and death, among other functions. The story is a sequel to a Japanese book of the same title, and both play with the idea of the Mitochondrial Eve theory. The game takes NYPD officer Aya Brea through a horrifying six day adventure through-out New York City. It is an excellent RPG that spans 2 discs with many lush cut scenes. Parasite Eve is a fantastic game made by Square (now Square-Enix) released in 1998 for the Playstation. This collection of demos and previews includes an interactive playable demo for Xenogears, the opening movie sequence for Bushido Blade, a preview movie for Brave Fencer Musashi, and a special preview movie for Final Fantasy VIII. The game package also contains a bonus CD, Square Soft's 1998 Collector's CD Vol.1. The game is compatible with analog controllers and takes up only one block of memory for saves. A unique option lets you customize weapons, armor and character abilities. You are allowed to roam around in real-time, polygonal battle sequences. This Python script runs the necessary commands on the model files after they have been renamed to *.pkg. each stage seems to have a distinct model set. Models are reused as often as enemies and characters are. And what about that enemy with big feet?). That I can tell there are no unused enemies in the game (except maybe the wolves? I don't remember. I don't recommend modifying UVs, because they are very precisely fit to pixels on a texture. Each texture is usually 128x256, so you have to fill it to the right up to 256x256. Note: models have UVs in space of 256x256. Some extracted image packs are missing 1 or 2 bytes in the middle, which is probably a bug in extractor, but i'm not sure. In other words, textures for a model package 1005 will be in image 1004 and clut 1003. If you check "debug" file created by md_hyena's extractor you can notice all files are organized in sets, which is marked by "FF" byte of last package in each set. You can find each model's textures inside the same set of packages. In this game its easy, because images are 256-colored and each is using (hopefully) only one palette. Textures could be converted manually by combining images with palettes. My tool will extract them all, and with all UVs.ĥ. If you use md_hyena's plugin, some of them will be incomplete or have missing UVs. MDL files with my new tool (Parasite2_model.exe) or md_hyena's blender plugin. PKG files onto Parasite2_pkg.exe or batch process them. bat file in the folder with *.pe2pkg files - this will rename themģ. Extracted files are missing information which is essential to auto-unpack models, so i made a workaround for this: Most models are in stage0, and only very few (scenery stuff) in other stages.Ģ. May not be perfect, but it allows to export all models.ġ.
